New classic track and a revamped physics test
Today's update is focused on content. Inspired by Formula 1 70th season being celebrated in Silverstone, I decided to add this classic track to the game. Don't waste time, take the role of Hulkenberg and get a podium!
New physics
One aspect of the game that I am not 100% happy with is the handling of the cars. Having received good feedback from several players, I decided to take a different approach to the physics modeling. This is why I have published a new project that serves as a physics test. You can try it out here: https://misterakuma.itch.io/pretend-cars-phy
The main difference is that the modeling is done for each individual tire, which gives me the opportunity to fine tune the experience much more. You'll notice this specially in certain situations, like going off track, where grip affects only the wheel over the grass. This gives a more real behavior and makes it more tricky to control but keeps being fun in my opinion. This approach lets me change downforce and under/oversteering in the back and front tires independently, so it opens up the doors to new features and ideas.
If you can, please try the physics test and give me feedback about it, telling which things you like and which you don't, every comment is very useful to improve the game!
